Role of managers, information and support for effective decision-making by managers, classifications of information systems and trends in information systems. The IS function in an organisation.
BUSINESS APPLICATIONS
The Internet, intranets and extranets in business. Electronic business systems and electronic commerce fundamentals.Enterprise communication, co-ordination and collaboration. Digital Business Ecosystems.
Practical Laboratory
Business Models, Spreadsheets, Collaboration and Communication Tools
This module will be delivered through the medium of lecture and labs. Students will create artefacts such as business models using lean techniques. Students will also practice and apply business scenarios using spreadsheets.
