The aim of this module is to continue consolidation of the student’s knowledge of relevant vocabulary and structures in French to comprehend, communicate and interact with increasing ease and accuracy in a range of everyday scenarios in French and to increase familiarity with socio-cultural, professional and educational environments of France and French speaking countries. The module is benchmarked at B1.2/B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference.

Focus on consolidation of the production of written materials in German on topics of both a socio-cultural and professional nature.

Focus on consolidation of aural comprehension skills in German
Mediation
Focus on consolidating the student's skills in writing, translation into and out of German; summaries, synopses, rewriting - with appropriate attention to context and register
Teaching & Learning takes place through communicative language classes where students practise, develop and demonstrate development in all skill areas: reading, listening, speaking & writing. Individual and group activities, use of varied and authentic media, resources in VLE and both self-directed and lecturer-directed activities within and outside of classroom.
