Staff Self Service Password Reset Guide

This document should help guide you through the process of resetting your password via Self Service Password Reset (SSPR). This guide is intended for staff use and therefore all references to usernames will follow this format:

If you cannot access your account, or you are attempting to and the password appears to be invalid, you can reset this via the link that has been sent to you, it is also below.

The above link will open the page as shown (above), please enter your username in the format given as an example in the field.
If your name is John Smith, your username will be:

You can then click “Can’t access your account?” and then click “Work or school account”, this will bring you to the reset page (below).

Enter the characters as shown in the photo (above) to begin the secure process.

You will then be prompted to receive a text or call or to email your alternate address. These functions will use the details you registered previously. If you do not see these functions, you will have to register prior to use, please contact Computer Services for the appropriate guide.

In our example above, we are choosing the “Text my mobile phone” option. This will then prompt you for the code that will be sent to you, enter this once received.


You are now prompted to enter a new password and confirm it. This password must meet the standard highlighted as per standard policy.


Once entered and confirmed your password will update, please now close the browser or tab you completed this process with. Your new password can now be used to sign into services/applications as required.
