- For the processing of the Student Assistance Fund Application

- Statistical purposes (anonymised data only)

What categories of personal data are you processing?

- Name, address, student status, family circumstances, employment status.

- Personal information about family financial circumstances.

- General income information of applicants and/or Spouse/Civil Partner/Co-habitant/parents/guardians and information about any financial supports or bursaries obtained (Confidential Information).

- Financial information (Confidential Information).

- Employment status, gender, age, what your highest level of education is, whether you live in a rural area, if you have a disability if you are from a migrant/foreign background and start/end dates of your course 

Where do you get my personal data from?

- The documentation you have agreed to supply and the Student Assistance Fund application form.

Do you share my personal data with anyone else?

- Forms are shared with the Student Assistance Fund Committee only for the purpose of assessment.

- Data relating to your employment status, gender, age, what your highest level of education is, whether you live in a rural area, if you have a disability if you are from a migrant/foreign background and start/end dates of your course will be anonymised and shared with the Higher Education Authority (HEA).

- No

How long do you keep my personal data?

- We will only retain your data in line with our Data Retention Policy.

What Rights do I have?

  • You have the right to obtain confirmation that your data is being processed, and access to your personal data.
  • You are entitled to have personal data rectified if it is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • You have a right to have personal data erased and to prevent processing in specific circumstances.

Further Information

When making enquiries regarding your application, you are expected to have read all of the available online information before doing so. However, if you need further information and support on how to make an application to the Student Assistance Fund 2018/19, please see below:

  1. We will also host 1 to 1 meeting sessions where students can meet privately with our Student Assistance Fund Administatrator. To avoid waiting to be seen at this office, we strongly advise that you make an appointment. To book an appointment contact SAF@it-tallaght.ie.

  2. For all other queries related to any stages of the application or funding processes, you can contact our administrator on SAF@it-tallaght.ie
