Making an Application

The information below is a guide to the process. Please read through the steps below and then make sure you have the necessary information on hand as you submit your application. Note you can save your online application at any time by clicking 'save and exit'.

Making the Application

  1. Applications for Part time Programmes are made online, on each programme link.  Links can be found here
  2. Choose your programme and click the “Apply” button
  3. Complete all the relevant details as requested
  4. Upload documentation
    • Parchment and Transcript of 3rd level qualification if appropriate with translation if required
    • Proof of Identity
    • CV
    • All applicants under 23 years of age must provide a copy of their Leaving Certificate or equivalent result
  5. Pay the online application fee €50 ( this fee is non-refundable)
  6. Submit your application

If there are errors or essential information or documentation is missing, the application will be returned to you. This will result in delays in processing your application.

What happens Next

  1. You will receive an acknowledgement of receipt of your application form via email. If you do not receive this acknowledgement please contact the Part Time Information Desk, Department of Lifelong Learning at
  2. Based on your application the University will determine if you meet the entry requirements and are eligible to be registered on the programme of your choice.
  3.  If you are deemed eligible, you will receive an offer of a place via email which you are requested to accept.  You will also be asked to pay a deposit of €400, which will be deducted from your overall programme fee.  Please note that an offer acceptance will not be recorded unless the requested deposit has been paid.  
  4.  If you are deemed ineligible you will receive this notification via email. Please note the application fee of €50 is non-refundable.
  5. Successful applicants will then be contacted with how to proceed with registration.
