Campus Engage and TUDublin

I am delighted to announce that a collaboration of staff and students across Engineering, Business and Creative Digital Media in TU Dublin have been chosen by Campus Engage to be used as an exemplar of the community-based work in TU Dublin.

Students on Tallaght Campus from the Department of Marketing and Business Computing, and the Department of Humanities (Media programme) partnered with 3D Assist from the School of Engineering, to create an integrated marketing and digital media campaign with the purpose of raising awareness of limb difference among new parents, and providing support to children with prosthetics. The work completed by the advertising students has been used in 3DAssists’ promotional activities while our media students completed a short film capturing some of 3DAssist’s activities.

Campus Engage over the summer commissioned a video outlining some of the work done and this is to be showcased on their website and presented at an international conference last week.

I would like to thank and congratulate Patricia Medcalf, Deirdre Kennedy, Sinead Mc Donald and the team at 3DAssist for their work on this. It is a great reflection of the work done by 3D Assist and TU Dublin students and staff, in collaboration with parents and children.
