A warm welcome to all new students and to all returning students.
The Covid-19 pandemic has changed the way we work and now requires the Student Health Centre to develop new mechanisms of service delivery on campus. The development of services needs to balance the safety of both students and Health Centre staff and the needs of our individual students. |
The Student Health Centre aims to:
- · Continue to provide medical services to registered students in a confidential, professional and courteous manner.
- · Continue to provide a high quality, timely and reliable service to students.
- · Adapt to other ways of delivering care, by the provision of secure remote consultations via telephone and/or video, where face to face may not be necessary or pose a possible risk to staff.
- *****Temporarily stop walk-in clinics and move to appointments only. All initial consultations will be via phone call.
- · Encourage our students to contact the Student Health Centre by telephone if they have any health concerns whether Covid-19 related or not.
If you are unwell with symptoms such as, cough, shortness of breath or breathing difficulties, fever or chills, loss or change to taste or smell, you should please stay at home and NOT come into College. You may then contact the Student Health Centre or your own GP or the HSE Helpline on 1850241850. In the event you begin to feel unwell on Campus, and experience any of the above symptoms, you should isolate immediately from other people and telephone the Student Health Centre- 01-4042613.
