Exam Supports

The Disability Support Service (DSS) liaises with the Examinations Office to provide exam support to students with disabilities for their assessments and end of semester examinations.
Supports are needs based and agreed with the student when they register with the DSS.

They may include:

  • Provision of a scribe
  • Provision of a reader/ or suitable technology
  • Additional time
  • Spelling and grammar waiver
  • Separate room
  • Access to a laptop/assistive technology


Continuous Assessments (CA)

Students can avail of supports for their class tests or Continuous Assessments by:

  • Downloading the Continuous Assessment Form from Disability Support Service page on Moodle or using the link below
  • Printing out and filling in the form.
  • Handing in the completed form to the Exams office at least one week before every Continuous Assessment.

Supports for end of semester exams are organised directly by the Exams office.
