Access Office

Through a range of pre-entry activities, alternative entry arrangements, and post-entry supports, the Access Office strives to ensure that TU Dublin - Tallaght Campus facilitates equity of access and progression.

The role of the Access Office can be broken down into two areas:

1. Pre-entry: to promote and encourage entry into the University by students from groups currently under-represented in higher education through our Access Schools Links Programme.

2. Supports for current full-time registered students who are in one of the following groups:

  • Students from linked schools (linked schools)
  • Mature students (who were 23 years old or over upon entering the University and are attending a full-time programme)
  • Members of the Traveller Community

TU Dublin - Tallaght Campus is now part of the HEAR (Higher Education Access Route) Scheme


TU Dublin - Tallaght Campus is now part of the Higher Education Access Route (HEAR) which offers places on reduced points places to school leavers from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

TU Dublin - Tallaght Campus reserves up to 5% of places on all full-time undergraduate programmes to HEAR-eligible students.

There is a points reduction of up to 10% on each programme.
