Mission – To promote interdisciplinary research teams to collaborate on ground breaking innovation, structured education and advanced training in strategic areas where medical devices are applied in medicine for the advancement of healthcare.

Key Objectives
To develop a culture of entrepreneurship, openness and collaboration across disciplines, institutions and nations within the mission of IMED

• Focus interdisciplinary groups in medical device innovation between ITT Tallaght, the Adelaide & Meath Hospital and future partners.

• To promote and reward new ideas that can be protected for technology transfer or development of spin-off ventures.

• To target niche areas of medical device innovation where available expertise, experience, specialisation and facilities can we focused on boosting academic output to achieve realistic, foreseeable and scheduled deliverables.
