If your sole income is derived from Social Welfare payments, or if you are the dependant of a person with such, you may be eligible for a reduction in the tuition fees payable to IT Tallaght for Professional Institute and undergraduate programmes.
INFORMATION ABOUT PAYING YOUR FEES (FROM SEPTEMBER 2016)
Step 1: For New and Re-registering students an online application must be made to include the IT Tallaght €100 application fee when applying.
Step 2: The application form will be reviewed by the appropriate Head of Department and the applicant will be offered a place on the course if he/she had met all the requirements for entry to the course/year of their choice.
Step 3: Remaining €550 registration fee must be paid once the offer of a place on the programme has been accepted. Please note that Professional Institute applicants, new and re-registering must pay the full fee on acceptance of the offer.
Step 4: The completed Social Welfare Claim form (FR016) must be stamped and dated by the applicants local Social Welfare Officer. (The form must be dated on or after the 1 September 2016.)
Step 5: The Social Welfare Claim form must be returned to the Part-Time Student Information Desk at IT Tallaght on or before Friday 14 October. No forms will be accepted thereafter. No claims can be made retrospectively.
Step 6: The application will be considered by the Institute and student records will be updated by the registrar's office if they have qualified for the concession.
Step 7: Any outstanding fees for Part-time programmes starting in September 2016 must be paid by 30 November 2016 in order to avoid a Late Fee of €120 and withdrawal of services.
Please note that this concession is not available to a student whose fees are paid on his/her behalf by any organisation or group.
