Facilities & Services
During semester the bookshop is open until 19:30 (16:00 on Fridays). The shop sells all essential recommended text books along with a wide range of related programme materials, stationery, computer disks, confectionery and newspapers.
During semester the Institute restaurant serves meals and snacks between 08:30 and 20:30 Monday to Thursday and until 16:30 on Fridays. Click Here for further information.
During semester the Institute’s Health Centre (Room 108, first floor) provides a nursing service in the evenings from 17:00 to 21:00 Monday to Thursday and on Saturday from 09:00 to 13:00. Click Here for further information
The Institute is equipped with the most up-to-date computer technology to meet students needs. Students have access to industry standard hardware (personal computers, printers, scanners etc) and software (for example word processing, accounting spreadsheets, database, statistics, computer aided design, graphics programming application).
The institute uses a web-based learning management system called Moodle. Lecturers upload lecture notes, assignments and other resources that students can access at any time from home or work. An IT Support Desk (Room 205, Top Floor) provides students with face to face, e-mail and telephone communication for all IT-related issues. The desk is open from 09:00 to 18:30 Monday to Thursday and 09:00 to 17:00 on Friday. Clubs and Societies

The Reprographic Centre (open until 20:00 Monday to Thursday until 20:00 and 17:00 on Fridays during semester) provides a print, copying and finishing service to students. ‘Do it yourself ’ printing and copying are available at all times around the Institute. For further information Click Here
Facilities for Students with Disabilities
The building and approaches have been designed to ensure ease of access. The Institute welcomes and encourages applications from students with disability. It is Institute policy to provide appropriate support for students with physical disability or specific learning problems. Students with disabilities should inform the Institute of their disability when they apply.
Every effort will be made to provide assistance by timetabling classes in ground floor rooms near the entrance, offering access to lifts and giving general advice as required. Institute Location & Car Parking
The Institute has excellent parking facilities. There are also a number of public car parks adjacent to the Institute. Please note that a traffic management solution is in place on campus which means that cars parked in non designated parking areas will be towed and clamped.
