IT Tallaght welcomes applications from mature students on all of its courses. Whether you are returning to education or builiding on your recent learning, we would encourage you to pursue your studies here with us. As we have so many mature students are IT Tallaght, we can guarantee that you won't be on your own in coming back to education. To back our commitment to widening participation, we offer up to 20% of places on each course to Mature Students.
To help you fulfill your potential, we have a range of supports in place for full-time Undergraduate Mature Students to ease the transition back into education.
At IT Tallaght, mature student applicants are considered on the basis of relevant life, work and educational experiences are to the course that they wish to pursue as opposed to on the basis of Leaving Certificate Points and other matriculation requirements. A student who is 23 years of age or older, on the 1st of January of the year of entry to third level, is known as a “mature student”.
