A delegation from the Institute of Technology Tallaght visited NBCC Fredericton, New Brunswick Canada to sign an international agreement opening up credit transfers, student exchanges and research project collaborations between the two institutions.

New Brunswick Community College (NBCC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Institute of Technology Tallaght.  The signing came during a visit to NBCC’s Fredericton Campus by Thomas Stone, President of the Institute of Technology Tallaght. This new agreement will open pathways for credit transfers, research collaborations, and student and faculty exchanges between the two institutions.

“We are pleased to announce our new partnership with the Institute of Technology Tallaght,” said Marilyn Luscombe, President and CEO of NBCC. “International partnerships such as this enrich the NBCC experience and open new educational opportunities for our learners.” This agreement will mean that NBCC students have the opportunity to apply their college credits towards degrees in the areas of Business Accounting, Electronics, Mechanical or Energy Engineering Technology, Information Technology, and Tourism and Culinary Arts, at IT Tallaght.

“Not only does this agreement provide NBCC learners with opportunities to further their education, it will also offer them international experiences and important learnings about another culture,” said Luscombe. “These are the types of experiences which can help set them apart in their chosen fields throughout their careers.”
