About the Course

A brand new, employment-focussed degree, particularly relevant to the needs of Ireland’s fast-expanding technology sector, where ICT employers are growing their business operations. Short course/special purpose awards in digital skills will also launch in the next semester.

The Department of Marketing and Business Computing is a leading provider of courses in Marketing Management, Advertising and Marketing Communications, and Digital Marketing, offering courses at Higher Certificate, Ordinary Degree and Honours Degree level. It also offers a Higher Diploma in Business in Marketing, as well as a BSc in Data Analytics with Digital Marketing, and research Masters.

BRAND NEW for this year, the Department will offer a new Level 7 Bachelor of Arts (Ordinary Degree) in Digital Marketing, which is particularly relevant to the needs of Ireland’s fast-expanding technology sector, where ICT employers are growing their business operations.

The Department plans to continue to develop its links with this sector across all programmes of study, as well as Irish and global business enterprise to create industry-ready, career-focussed graduates that are highly-skilled in the needs of the modern digital enterprise.

In April 2017, Glenn Mehta took on a new role as Head of Department of Marketing and Business Computing. A graduate of marketing at ITT himself, Glenn has written text books and is an active researcher and digital marketing consultant with unrivalled links to industry, community and non-profit organisations around Dublin, Ireland and the world, and is leading a digital transformation agenda.

Your Head of Department is a graduate of Marketing from IT Tallaght, and has a welcome insight into the demands and support requirements of students at all levels, and has put procedures in place to make the Department as supportive and student-focussed as possible, while maintaining the highest academic quality and subject relevance (in an ever-changing digital employment market) to protect the value of the awards that the Institute stands over and the quality of the student experience. After all, our students are our best ambassadors for our courses.

What do I Need?

Mature students welcome
Mature applicants (23 years of age) may not be required to meet the minimum entry requirements but may be considered on their merits.

Entry Requirements :
Leaving Certificate with at least 2 H5’s in two Higher Level subjects, and a minimum of Grade O6 (Ordinary Level) in 4 other subjects in the Leaving Certificate Examination, which must include Mathematics and English or Irish.
