Description:This module aims to improve the students’ existing skills and knowledge in the target language and to provide them with the necessary tools to conduct research in the target language.
Learning Outcomes:
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to
  1. Communicate and converse competently in the target language on a range of topics of cultural and socio-economic interest.
  2. Translate texts of a business nature.
  3. Analyse and summarise authentic business in spoken and written form in the target language.
  4. Evaluate material relating to contemporary issues and debates in the country or countries where the target language is spoken.

  • General Language (20%)
    Further development of reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.
  • Business Language (50%)
    Presentation of issues of commercial relevance. Translation of commercial texts from the target language.
  • Research (30%)
    Research and analysis on companies and products in the target language.
