Description:This module aims to consolidate and develop the students’ skills and knowledge of the target language in written, spoken and aural forms. The students will also be exposed to aspects of culture and society in the country/countries where the target language is spoken.
Learning Outcomes:
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to
  1. Converse and initiate conversation in the target language.
  2. Read and understand selected business texts in the target language.
  3. Comprehend a range of audio and video materials in the target language.
  4. Describe aspects of the business culture and society in the country/countries where the target language is spoken.

  • Functional language (50%)
    Focus on exposure to, and practice of, general and business language functions in spoken written and aural forms
  • Grammar and Pronunciation (30%)
    Grammatical structures necessary for the production of the target language. Practice of pronunciation.
  • Aspects of culture and society (20%)
    Contemporary issues, domestic products, companies
