Description:The aim of this module is to impart the grammatical structures and vocabulary necessary to comprehend and communicate in French and to understand the socio-cultural environment of France and countries where French is spoken.
Learning Outcomes:
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to
  1. Converse in French on general topics
  2. Read and understand articles and be able to answer questions thereon
  3. Follow selected audio, TV and video materials of a general nature and discuss the content
  4. Discuss and write about a range of topics of general interest in French
  5. Make a presentation about a researched topic
  6. Be informed and equipped for the year abroad
