Summer creche camps 2018 at IT Tallaght

Oakview Tallaght (our childcare provider) has commenced Summer Camps for children of students and staff of IT Tallaght and the wider South County Dublin Community.

When do the camps start? 
Monday 21st May 2018 and will continue without interruption during June, July & August 2018

What age does my child have to be to be able to attend? 
Ages 3 months – 10 years.  The children will be split by school age and non school age.

What type of activities are planned?  It will be a play based curriculum Highscope curriculum.  This is based on the children’s interest and the daily plan will be on the door for parents to see at the end of every day.  Activities to choose from include paint, water, sand, football, arts and crafts, baking, ICT in the classroom, drama/dance and singing, games and outdoor fun, sports, football and facepainting.

How Much Does it Cost?

Summer Prices
Full Time 8.30am -5.30pm Mon-Friday: €220
Daily fulltime rate: €50

Part Time: 9am – 1pm Mon-Friday: €110
Daily part-time rate: €25

For families who avail of the fulltime hours and are not availing of the Government CCSP a 10% discount is available.

Where is the Creche on Campus? 
Our crèche is the first building on your left as you enter the campus by the Greenhills Road entrance.


The Institute of Technology, Tallaght have appointed a new childcare provider, Orchard House Ltd operating as ‘Oakview Tallaght’ ‘to manage the Institute’s on-campus ‘Early Years’ crèche facility for the next 3 years.

The Institute will mark the official opening of the facility at 3pm on Friday 9th March 2018.

The facility will be open to all from 3-5pm on Friday 9th March 2018, to offer visitors the opportunity to view the facility, enquire about child spaces, Easter and Summer camps and meet the Oakview Tallaght staff.

The Early Years’ service at Oakview Tallaght is not only open to families of students of IT Tallaght, but also to families of the wider community.  There are some spaces available at present.

The service caters for children from 3 months to 6 years and offers a number of Government subsidised Childcare schemes such as USC, CCSP and TEC. These schemes offer subsidised rates for working parents, students and also for those seeking employment.

According to Clódagh Moynihan, General Manager of Oakview Tallaght; “The aim of our service will be to offer student families and the wider community a holistic approach to their child’s, care, learning and development”.
