This Institute Research Centre is currently engaged in projects in the areas of Orthopaedics, Biomechanics, Design, FEA and CFD analysis and the application of Rapid Prototyping in the field of Medicine.  The BTC has links with Medical Consultants from a number of leading hospitals in Ireland.
