ABOUT THE COURSE
This programme, which is delivered via the distance learning mode, aims to produce graduates with the range and depth of knowledge, the analytical skills and the other competences necessary to discuss, evaluate and make a judgement on historical and current theory and practice in theology and related disciplines.

 

ENTRY LEVEL
Applicants should have obtained the Higher Certificate in Theology (or equivalent). All applicants must have competence in spoken and written English. No prior knowledge of a foreign language is required.

COURSE CONTENT
This level 7 programme is administered by The Priory Institute, with which ITT Dublin has a partnership arrangement for its distance learning theology programmes.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
Graduates are eligible to become pastoral assistants in a parish and partially fulfill the qualification requirements for various chaplaincy ministries. This award provides the basis for a career in teaching religious education and religious studies. Successful completion of this set of modules will allow students to progress on to the BA (Honours) in Theology degree programme.
