About the Course

The CIPD Certificate in Human Resources Practice is a one year part-time programme accredited by the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development. The programme provides a firm foundation in all areas of human resources, helping you to develop essential people management skills and give you the confidence to be more effective at work by adding real value to your organization.

Who the programme is intended for:
New to HR or to those aspiring to a career in the area. Working in HR in support roles and wish to further their career with a professional qualification. Line managers, supervisors or team leaders who wish to develop their knowledge and skills

Please note that you must either work currently in a people management situation or have regular access to an organization to successfully complete the programme.

Supporting your studies
You are assigned a personal tutor who provides advice and support throughout the programme. You will have access to a dedicated web-based site.  You will have available core texts, reference materials and comprehensive notes to support you in your study.

You can study additional optional units to achieve a Diploma in HRP. The optional units include: supporting change, coaching and mentoring skills.

Entry Level

There are no formal entry requirements but applicants may be invited for interview to discuss their interest in the programme. All applicants must have competence in spoken and written English.

Course Content / Timetable

Assessment
Assessment activities for the programme are designed to equip you with the ability to apply learning back in your orgnisation and in your work role. Accordingly, assessment is by demonstrating practical skills, work-based reports, case studies and reflections on your experience and the contribution you make on the programme.

Accreditation
Upon successful completion of the programme, you will be awarded the CIPD Certificate in HR Practice. The completion of the Certificate combined with relevant experience allows you to apply to CIPD for associate membership, with entitlement to use the designation:  Assoc CIPD.

Fees & Funding

ITT Dublin Fees
€1180 (includes ITT Dublin registration fee)

Additional fee of €400 for the units of study to complete the Diploma in HRP.

CIPD Fees
As this is a professional qualification, fees are also payable to the CIPD. Arrangements for registration will be made once you start the course. More information is available from www.cipd.ie.
