  • Courses below include Higher Certificate (award at Level 6), Bachelor's degree (or 'ordinary' degree, at Level 7), Honours (at Level 8), Higher Diploma (at Level 8) and Masters (at Level 9).

Certificate In Preparatory Study for Third Level

This short course provides individuals who are thinking of starting a third level course in IT Tallaght in September an opportunity to really experience what it is like to go to college.  More information can be found on this course and how to apply can be found here.


Head Start Maths (Refresher Maths Programme)

If you would like to register for a part-time programme then you have the option of completing the Institute of Technology Tallaght Head Start Maths Course. The aim of this programme is to allow a thorough revision and consolidation of key basic mathematical topics.  More information and how to apply can be found here

Career Coaching for Part Time Students

Career transition coaching will help you gain clarity through a detailed and structured personal review process that will teach you the skills to make sound career decisions now and into the future. All consultations are confidential and personalised to meet your unique needs. Our career coach will assist you to make great decisions about your career and your life.

Sessions are free of charge and will be delivered on a one to one basis and will be carried out via phone, skype, and email or in person depending on availability and or service selected.

We offer a diverse range of programmes, from short courses through to Higher Certificates, Ordinary degrees, Honours degrees and Masters (we also have some part-time PhD students). Note that students on some programmes are supported by EGF Lufthansa Technik Airmotive Ireland (LTAI), PWAI and Andersen.

The Part-Time Office is located in the foyer of the main building on campus.

Opening hours (Part-time Office):

From 12th September to 16th December and from 23rd January to 12th May, the office opens from 10 am to 1 pm and then from 2pm to 9 pm, Monday to Thursday (it closes at 5 pm on Fridays). Up to 12th September the office will close at 5 pm (Monday to Friday).

Between 16th December and 22nd January, and after 12th May, the office will also close at 5pm each day.
